Newsflash

The Southside Dairy Queen located at 1600 South Roddis Ave in Marshfield is going to donate at least 15% of the sales generated this Sunday, April 27th from Noon to 9pm to the Benefit! And if we can double their daily revenue will get 20%!

The 2nd Annual Jon Soderberg’s ALS Benefit for the MDA, Augie’s Quest and the ALS-TDI will be held on Saturday, May 17th, 2014 at the Riverside Park, Pittsville WI. The event is scheduled from noon to midnight. The event will be sponsored in partnership with the Pittsville Lions Club, ALS/TDI, Augie’s Quest and the MDA. Our goal is to raise public awareness about ALS, help individuals in Central WI affected by Muscle Diseases and also raise funds to support much needed ALS research.

The headliner band – Boogey and the YoYoZ – which has a huge mid-west following, will be performing. Also tentatively scheduled on the day of the event: one of the first car shows of the year; an ALS walk around the Park; food, beverages and ice cream; a vendor/craft fair; bingo; raffles and drawings; bean bag tournament; games and activities for kids; silent auction; fireworks and more! Approximately 1,500 people participated in the 2013 event throughout the day, this year we are expecting to exceed that number!

In June of 2012, Jon was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). Jon is employed at Handy Enterprises Incorporated as a mechanic and is unable to work at this time. He has been treated at the Marshfield Clinic; University of Wisconsin Hospitals, Madison WI; Mayo Clinic, Rochester MN and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Jon, 28, and his wife, Kristin, live in Pittsville WI with their 3 year old daughter Colby.

We are looking for your support.  Any type of raffle item, gift card or monetary donation would be greatly appreciated and remember any donation is tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by the law.
